Prophecy Being Fulfilled

In 2002, I felt moved to compile a short written piece about the direction Britain was heading. It was entitled Is Britain Now A Police State?

I thought at the time that the title was outrageous! It was difficult for me to even believe some of what I was writing – although I felt it was true, of course, otherwise I wouldn't have written it. But when things are given by the Spirit, in dreams or in other prophetic ways, you do wonder sometimes!

God's mind is not our mind. And He sees all, where we see very little.

A short while later I modified that article and put it in Newsletter 20 (p 20) entitled Police and Persecution.

It contained some of the many dreams God has given us about what we will be subjected to in the course of our ministry. It shocked some other people. I received a letter of incredulity. The writer said "I can understand this sort of thing happening in totalitarian countries, but not Britain! Surely not Britain!?"

Yes, it does sound hard to believe, but the Bible predicts very totalitarian conditions extant in Europe in the closing days of this Age – psychologically and spiritually barbaric and inhuman! We are seeing that state of affairs unfolding more and more in our political world. Even a columnist in The Daily Mail wrote:

"Until recently, anyone who talked about Britain turning into a totalitarian state would have been ridiculed.

"Our Parliamentary democracy, the checks and balances of our constitution, and the idea that we can – within the law – do as we wish, seemed to guarantee our liberty.

"Lately, though, a stealthy campaign to remove our freedoms has become overt. And I don't just mean the abolition of foxhunting – the most bigoted piece of legislation since the Test and Corporation Acts of the late 17th century...

"...there are plans, too, for state-salaried 'lifestyle coaches' to advise us on how we live. Most alarming of all is talk about a Commission for Equality and Human Rights whose duty it will be to root out thought crime.

"With the House of Lords reduced to a talking shop and the monarchy under attack from openly republican members of the Labour Cabinet, the checks and balances that once safeguarded our personal freedoms appear to be on their way out, too.

"This Government has an obsession with trying to prevent, by law if necessary, any behaviour with which it disagrees. What is so mad about this mania for legislating in order to control people's instincts is that it is largely unenforceable.

"Medical experts said only yesterday, for example, that the Government's preposterous new anti-smacking law – parents will be liable to prosecution if they strike a child and leave a red mark – is completely unworkable." (Simon Heffer, Daily Mail, p 27, 20 Nov 2004.)

People with some sense are seeing what the British Government's legislation is bringing, the sort of closed society it is creating – Orwellian, demented. In fact, Simon Heffer used that word himself!

"Doesn't the Government realise what a demented society it is creating?"

Of course, he probably didn't mean it in quite the literal sense that I do. But he has written the truth nonetheless, perhaps without realising the sting in his words! He lamented the "destruction of our liberties and dictatorial intrusion into the lives of innocent people by an increasingly overbearing state."

He continued:

"...behaviour that should be stopped is encouraged to flourish because it fits in with Labour's prejudices – such as widespread cannabis use, the promotion of homosexuality, high welfare dependency and teenage promiscuity.

"No government that ever promised to unite a nation can have failed so abysmally as this one. An American writer once observed that 'the difference between a welfare state and totalitarian state is a matter of time.' We are sleepwalking from one into the other." (Ibid.)

All this fulfils prophecies in the Bible. Namely:

"They do not regard the work of the Lord, nor consider the operation of His hands. Therefore, My people have gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge. Their honourable men are famished [spiritually] and their multitude dried up with thirst" (Is 5:12,13).

"I will give children to be their princes [rulers], and babes [spiritually immature] shall rule over them. The people will be oppressed..." (Is 3:4,5.)

"Children are their oppressors... O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, and destroy the way of your paths" (Is 4:12).

"You have forsaken Your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled with eastern ways... and they are pleased with [shake hands to make bargains with – margin] the children of foreigners" (Is 2:6.)

"The Lord will enter into judgment with the elders of His people and His princes: 'For you have eaten up the vineyard; the plunder of the poor is in your houses. What do you mean by crushing My people and grinding the faces of the poor?' " (Is 4:14,15.)

"He looked for justice, but behold, oppression; for righteousness, but behold, a cry for help" (Is 5:7).

"Their land is full of silver and gold; there is no end to their treasures. Their land is full of horses; there is no end to the chariots. Their land is full of idols; they bow down to the work of their hands, to what their fingers have made" (Is 2:7,8, NIV).

"In the last days perilous times will come, for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money... unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers... despisers of good ...headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God" (2 Tim 3:1-4).

"...serving only themselves" (Jude 12), "wandering stars" (Jude 13). They speak harsh things against God and against His prophets (Jude 15), and "speak evil of whatever they do not [understand]" (Jude 10).

"Because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold" (Matt 24:12).

"This people has a defiant and rebellious heart; they have revolted and departed. They do not say in their heart, 'Let us now fear the Lord our God, who gives rain both the former and the latter, in its season. He reserves for us the appointed weeks of harvest.' Your iniquities have turned these things away, and your sins have withheld good from you. For among My people are found wicked men; they lie in wait as one who sets snares; they set a trap, they catch men... Their houses are full of deceit. Therefore they have become great and grown rich..." (Jer 5:23-27).

"...they cannot give heed. Behold the Word of the Lord is a reproach to them" (Jer 6:10).

"Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? No! They were not at all ashamed; nor did they know how to blush..." (Jer 6:15).

"Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it. Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, 'We will not walk in it' " (Jer 6:16). Therefore, "Behold, I will certainly bring calamity on this people – the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not heeded My words nor My law, but rejected it" (Jer 6:19).

As it was in those former days, so it is today in Britain. People choose to believe lies rather than truth.

All this is preliminary to what will come soon:

Loss of Freedoms

"...as many as would not worship the image of the beast [are] to be killed" (Rev 13:15).

Worship of the image of the beast is compliance with State-approved religion. Those who insist on worshipping God as Jesus requires will be in jeopardy. Many will forfeit their lives.

"He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads" (Rev 13:16).

This is not a literal mark, but symbolic of allegiance or obedience – to man. Compare with Deuteronomy 11:18, where the imagery depicts allegiance to God – doing what He commands, and believing in Him:

Therefore you shall lay up these words of Mine in your heart and in your soul, and bind them as a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes (Deut 11:18).

To 'help' you comply with these ungodly religious controls, the State will pass humanistic legislation:

...that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name (Rev 13:17).

This is figurative language for decrees that defy God and the true worship He prescribes. Christians who do not comply will face loss of their rights and even lose their lives (Rev 13:4-7). It is the prophesied hour of trial to come upon the whole world (Rev 3:10).

If people find this hard to believe, they will find it even harder to accept that the way is being paved in Britain and Europe right now for these events to transpire. Freedoms are already being subtly eroded, as the article Is Britain Now A Police State? suggested.

God has revealed why the approach of the police is so wrong (see dream 30-11-04, M) and which bodes ill for what is to come. Helena's dream below depicts the loss of personal freedoms, not merely to us, but to other decent people as well, especially true Christians:

29th Nov 2004. H. Police Interference.

Our car was involved in a collision with another vehicle. The owner of the other vehicle came to inspect my car in detail, as if I were at fault, which I wasn't. In doing so, he ignored his fault and his vehicle which was old. It was hardly damaged by the crash anyway. He was only looking to find fault against me.

There was an old suitcase and a box which they left in our home. The crash – which they caused – was an excuse to gain entry to our home. I inspected the suitcase and box. They were old and filthy inside. I tried to find out who they belonged to, but I was not able to find out.

Meaning: The dream depicts the antiquated police system, which is spiritually dirty inside. It has a wrong approach towards citizens. It tries to find fault, and pin blame on people unnecessarily and unfairly, with malice. They will do this to us.

Further dream: Two policewomen gained entry into our home, took over and started bossing us around. They brought young children who were unruly and naughty [unqualified and lawless]. There was a Christmas tree which they started taking down [interference in religious practices]. One of the women tried to latch onto me like a leech. I had to shake her off because she was rude, depraved, and interfering.

These are just some of the many prophecies which are about to be fulfilled, because this nation rejects God's Word. & Malcolm B Heap
