156 God Directs Local Evangelism

...Plead the cause of the poor and needy (Proverbs 31:9).

With election violence looming, God gave John directions to reach out evangelising, promising that it would help calm the situation:

7th August 2017. 18:34. From John: I am back home safely. There is a big number of fully armed Police on the road confirming that tomorrow's voting will be chaotic.

5th Sept 2016. 11:27. From Rhoda: THIS YEAR'S FOT IS VERY IMPORTANT, ESPECIALLY TO KENYA. KENYA IS HOLDING ITS GENERAL ELECTIONS NEXT YEAR 2017. GOD WILL DELIVER A MESSAGE IN THIS YEAR'S FOT MEET AT MARK'S PLACE THAT WILL HELP AVERT THE IMMINENT BLOODSHED DUE TO ELECTIONS DISAGREEMENT...

“God speaks of those things that be not as though they were” Paul said.

We come to the present time and the situation is not improved in Kenya. If anything, it is worse than previously. There is more unrest, more violence, more bloodshed, more distrust, more crime, more looting, more mayhem... etc.

So, was God’s word wrong? God said the message given would avert this trouble and bloodshed. Yes, it would, IF it was heeded. But if not heeded, and if people don’t do what is asked of them to change and get in line with God’s will, then things carry on just as they are and get worse.

There were people attending that festival who heard the message, but who didn’t obey it. It wasn’t the message that was no good. It was their response to the message. And it’s the same with all or most of Kenya and other countries. People choose to disobey God. Their acts of self-will and stubbornness lead to the problems that result.

So, there was nothing wrong with what God said, but it was spoken in a way that elicited hope in people, a positive expectation rather than a negative expectation, and one which was urging without coercion the voluntary obedience God wants from all. So we can apply that lesson to ourselves.

John Evangelises Many Local Towns

8th August 2017. 9:39. From John: Thanks to God. Doing MM lit evangelism visiting polling stations and preaching about peace. It is only through God's hands that a lasting peace will be realized here. I have visited Kongo, Okota, Aluor, Magina, Kanyangasi, Mirogi, Ndhiwa, and Lwanda doing the great mission. God bless.

8th August 2017. 18:21. From John: I am still in the field evangelising, so far visited 32 polling stations.

9th August 2017. 10:30. To John: I hope you can collect [money] today.

You must have reached a lot of people yesterday, but I guess most waiting in line at those polling stations weren’t too interested. Most only care about the things of the flesh. When will the election results be known?

13:04. From John: Thanks Will. Election results for president may take seven days to be out. Most people were very positive, even today some visited the library in the morning. I can collect the money today. God bless.

Sat 12th August 2017. 23:07. To John: There was a short piece on our news here tonight about the post-election violence in Kenya, and 24 people killed as a result...

14th August 2017. 5:40. From Mark: Thanks for yours. The situation people undergo here is unbearable. The number of people who have been killed exceeds 24 and business has come to a standstill, no means of transport and to make it worse all shops are closed because there is fear of destruction of properties and looting so we beg for your prayers at this moment...

15th August 2017. 9:39. To John: I presume you got this info. So, Khalifa will be able to get the batteries for the pump and AT LAST! they can have the desperately needed water from the well bore! Relief! Now to pay the drillers next!

17th August 2017. 12:47. From John: Thanks Will. Today I got out to visit victims of post election skirmishes in Rongo town, I am still in the hospital, I only lack enough fuel in the van to help me move to Migori, Kisumu, Kibera, Mathare and Siaya as from tonight. There is some peace.

17th August 2017. 15:43. From Rhoda: "AT LEAST £280 FOR EVANGELISM TO REACH JOHN NOW. HE MUST VISIT ALL PLACES IN KENYA WHERE CHAOS ERUPTED AFTER DISPUTED ELECTIONS." 7 angels have said that to me now.

18th August 2017. 00:02. To John: Bob is hoping to send you a small amount of money tomorrow morning (Friday), but it’s not the £280, only half. (I’m just 14 p under my overdraft limit. Ha!)

20th August 2017. 16:18. From Rhoda: "MUSTAFA SHOULD MOVE AHEAD OF THE MM VAN TO THE GREAT MISSION OF DESTROYING THE FINANCIERS OF MM OPPOSERS. HE SHOULD LEAVE TOMORROW. AT LEAST £200 TO REACH JOHN FOR HIM TO START OFF. A FURTHER £200 SHOULD REACH HIM ON WEDNESDAY ONCE HE HAS CROSSED INTO SUDAN, THEN THE FINAL £350 TO REACH HIM ON FRIDAY WHEN HE WILL BE IN EGYPT. 21st August 2017. 20:11. From Rhoda: "MUSTAFA IS ALMOST REACHING BUSIA. THE DRILLERS NEED AT LEAST £200 TOMORROW MORNING, THEN £300 ON THURSDAY. AT LEAST £200 TO REACH JOHN NOW FOR THE DRILLERS." 7 Angels have said that to me now.

Comment: We were able to find that £200 for them.

22nd August 2017. 16:16. From Rhoda: "GOD IS THE ONE BRINGING PEACE IN KENYA THROUGH MM LITS EVANGELISM. JOHN MUST VISIT POKOT, TURKANA, AND BARINGO BEFORE HEADING TO SAUDI ARABIA. GOD WILL ABUNDANTLY BLESS REGULAR MM TO GIVE TOWARDS THOSE GREAT EVANGELIC MISSIONS. TOMORROW JOHN SHOULD BE IN WEST POKOT BUT MONEY NEED IS WORRYING HIM. GOD PROVIDES. 22nd August 2017. 16:22. From John: Thanks to God Will. I am in Eruga market in Kisii evangelising. And four Police men [names protected], have approached me and requested me to take the MM lits to Pokot and Turkana where they come from, and take the peace message. But I don’t have enough fuel. God is surely touching many souls but lack of money is a big issue. But our God is capable of meeting all these needs. God bless.
