19th Mar 2017.8:22. From John: Evangelism in the hostile Kerio valley.

The conflict here is political. The following tribes are on each other’s neck, the Pokots attack the Marakwets and the Tugens. They raid animals, burn schools, churches and kill women, children. The government has been sending police officers to bring peace but up to now no peace has been realized. People have run away for safety in neighboring towns. On Friday we visited the hot spot, Marigat market where an MP and a councillor were killed recently, distributed the MM Faith lits to the few people we met at the centre. About 200m from where we were gun shots filled the air. On Saturday, we had a Sabbath meet in Kabarnet town where we literally wept when we witnessed the squalor and pathetic conditions children and women are undergoing. We were forced to share water and milk with the little children.

At two, raiders swept the better part of Seretunin village and we went there at night till midnight and opened our Faith lits and prayed to God to act. Sixteen raiders lost their eyesights and died mysteriously in Lake Baringo region and 30 head of cattle were recovered. Through our prayers using MM lits the president was moved and ordered a contingent of army personnel to visit the KERIO VALLEY. Now we are in Iten town and army choppers and tanks are crisscrossing the valley smoking out the raiders. We will move on till we reach Turkana land today. The kitty is almost over and the Angels talked of South Sudan visit. God bless. So far eight people have accepted the MM truth in the valley.
