Lifting Up The Booklets

The Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword...

and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). 

In September 2014, Vuga drove the van through Tanzania on the way to Zanzibar and Comoros Island. He was arrested in Dar-es-Salaam. Here is his story of what happened:

As I was waiting for the new tyres to be fixed, a tax collector followed me to the Forex exchange unit where I went to collect the money John sent to me. He wanted a bribe from me so that he could give me a permit to cross back into Kenya. Because of the currency I was exchanging, the tax collector thought that I was not a Tanzanian citizen but Kenyan, and hoped to rob me. [But Vuga is a Tanzanian.]

When I refused, he called two policemen who handcuffed me and I was thrown into a nearby police van to be taken to the cell. I carefully removed the book Faith: Raising Our Level Of Expectation from my jacket pocket. I managed to do this, even with my hands tied, because it was in the left breast pocket of my jacket, which is big enough to carry a Bible. I used my fingers to hold and remove the book, and as I pulled it out they watched in disbelief [and probably horror, as a feeling of impending judgement came upon them through God’s Spirit].

Instantly the tax collector, Kilumi Mojaza, lost his eyesight, and to their surprise the vehicle became static [immobilised] and could not move till I was set free. [After God blinded the tax official, they feared, and let him go.]

Immediately I left and boarded a ship to Zanzibar.

God showed the people that He cares deeply for His literature containing His Word of life. And He gave the ability, the courage, and the power to get me out of this fix. Vuga

A similar situation happened on John’s and Vuga’s next trip – to Angola. They were held up by another corrupt official. John wrote:

From Kenya To Angola

7th November 2014. 17:52. Yes, our God has done it!

Today from 11.00 a.m. we suffered in the hands of corrupt Forex exchange officials at Tunduma, a small town bordering Tanzania and Zambia.

They wanted to steal what Bob S sent by WU. They first insisted on S's phone number and when I challenged their demand, they wanted now the third name of the sender. After presenting the name, they openly demanded a bribe.

I was moved to leave and got MM lit. Faith: Raising Our Level Of Expectation, opened it, facing Muazi Kalisa who is their leader, who then ran to me crying for help. He gave us all the money at 5:00 p.m. We crossed into Zambia. Now we are at Kapiri Mposhi [on their way to Angola, see Volume 4]. John

Something which should have only taken about 5 or 6 minutes, took 6 hours! They refused to release the money for all that time! Astonishing! The utter gall of it!

When John lifted up the booklet to the guy, God put him in pain, and he became terrified at something God’s Spirit made him see. Hebrews 10:31 warns:

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (10:31).

MM Literature Contains Power

You will have read earlier of what happened when the girls lifted up MM booklets towards intruders who came to attack them and their home. There was a massive thunderclap and lightning, and the three men were struck dead by God’s power (p 36).

God’s power was unleashed when the girls lifted up God’s truth.

When Jesus was lifted up from the earth in His death, He drew all righteous men towards Him, so they could find God (Jn 3:14,15; 12:32). God’s power to save was not just a promise; it then became reality.

So it is also when people, truly willing to believe in God, lift up MM publications as though they were the very words spoken by God Himself. The writings are inspired by Him, and His power accompanies them.

When people lie on them, they get healed. When people throw them at gunmen, the gunmen get killed. When you fix them to the walls of your home, God protects your home. When you hold them up against demons, the demons flee. When you wield them against an attacking lion, the lion is slain. When you show them to attackers, the attackers are blinded or struck down. When you read them with hunger for God in your heart, God comes in.

All these miracles have taken place, and continue to take place where it is God’s plan to demonstrate His power to those who are warring in His name, restoring the faith once delivered that is recorded by MM lit.

These are the days of Elijah! God is preparing the Way, as the prophets foretold long ago (Isaiah 40:3-5; Mal 4:4-6).
