GOD’S LAST APPEAL T0 SINNERS!
The end of this Age is very close. You have little time to choose between life or death.
It is written:It is appointed for men to die once, BUT AFTER THIS THE JUDGMENT (Hebrews 9:27). God inspired those words. Do you know what He means? What is the Judgment? It is a time in the future, after your physical death, when God determines whether you can live forever with Him, or whether He will blot out your life forever! It is His final decision whether He will let you live for eternity, or not. Many people foolishly make the wrong decision in this life. They choose evil. They will end up going to a place of torment (‘hell’) after physical death, where they will await God’s Judgement, and eventually be sentenced to death for eternity. You do NOT want to go to hell! It is horrendous! It is a state of utter torment, as you await your fate, knowing you will be burned up eventually in a blazing furnace at the end of time. Jesus declared: At the conclusion of the eon (see Concordant Literal NT), the Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practise lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. THERE WILL BE WAILING AND GNASHING OF TEETH (Matthew 13:40-42). God is warning all people. He is warning you, me, and all who will heed. He doesn’t want you to die. He is the Giver of Life and He wants you to live. But you can only continue to live if you accept what He says. Everyone who rebels against Him, who refuses to submit to His ways, will forfeit life. After His Judgement, they will cease to exist. Why? Because they refuse to stop sinning. God cannot tolerate sin. He is holy, pure, without any taint of sin. So He cannot accept you if you CHOOSE to sin. People who PREFER to sin, than to accept and live by God’s laws of righteous living, will be condemned. Therefore Jesus said: If you want to enter into life, KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS (Matthew 19:17). Breaking the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20; Deuteronomy 5) is sin. Violating any of God’s precepts in the Bible is sin, and the penalty is DEATH! For, “the wages of sin is DEATH...!” (Romans 6:23.) You earn death by disobeying God, by sinning. So He cannot grant you eternal life if you choose to carry on sinning instead of living by God’s righteous standards in the Bible. Most people treat God lightly. Many are duped to think God doesn’t exist. Because they don’t see Him, they don’t believe in Him. Neither do they see the oxygen which they breathe. Yet it keeps them alive. Likewise, God keeps you alive. How? By the ‘spark’ of life, the spirit that He has put in you at conception. James wrote: For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also (James 2:26). God made you to perform good works For we are His workmanship created... for good works (Ephesians 2:10). But He also allows you to sin, if you so choose. He doesn’t want you to sin, but He gives you that choice. Why? So that YOU determine whether you will live forever with Him, or whether you will end up in hell. If you end up in hell, you won’t be able to blame Him for not warning you of your fate. He lays out the alternatives in the Bible, which reveals His plan, and He is warning you here. So you have no excuse. You Must Choose NOW Between Life Or Death God sets before you this day LIFE OR DEATH. Therefore CHOOSE LIFE, so that you may live. Don’t choose the way of death! However, be warned: There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death (Proverbs 14:12). So vital is this, that the warning is repeated in Proverbs 16:25. The way most people live SEEMS OK to them, but it’s actually leading them to perdition. It’s the way of sin that they treat lightly, as if it’s of no consequence. The trouble is, it’s of tremendous consequence! It’s disastrous, because it’s lawlessness. We all live in very lawless societies! But: Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness (1 John 3:4). This haphazard lawless approach to life breaks God’s basic code of righteousness in the Ten Commandments. Remember, it earns death (Romans 6:23). And because all people tread this natural path, all have sinned (Romans 3:23), and, if they don’t cease sinning, they will reap the decreed result – DEATH! Not just a mortal death, but eternal death. It is a state of complete non-existence – oblivion! You will be gone, with no hope of any reprieve, if you do not turn away from sin. You must cease sinning – cease doing what YOU want, and determining to do what God wants – living by what He tells you in His Word in the Bible. That’s His first condition if you want Him to grant you eternal life. He terms it repentance. But your righteous choice doesn’t save you. It is just the start. It shows you are willing. Then He can SAVE you from the death penalty of sin – from eternal damnation. Here’s how God has made that possible. How God Can Save You From Eternal Damnation Since you have sinned, God made a sacrifice available to PAY the price of your sins, otherwise you could not be saved. He did this by sending His only begotten Son into the world, born as a human being, as a baby to Mary his mother, but fathered by God Almighty. It was a most unique event, prophesied in Scripture 700 years before the event: The Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel [meaning “God with us”] (Isaiah 7:14). This divine Being who was conceived so supernaturally was Jesus, the Christ. He came from God and was God (John 1:1-5). [He] became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth (John 1:14). By His grace – free, unmerited pardon – you can be saved from death, saved from sin, saved from going to hell, saved from every evil. You can’t earn salvation – freedom from sin and death. You can’t earn eternal life with God. It is only available by God’s grace (Ephesians 2:8), by placing your trust in Jesus, the Son of God, who laid down His life to redeem the lives of all who will accept Him as their Saviour and God. Jesus lived a perfectly sinless life. He never sinned once, either in thought, word, or deed (Hebrews 4:15). As very God, His life was worth more than the sum total of all human lives, so when He laid it down as a sacrifice, He paid for all the sins of the world. But for you to have your sins forgiven by Him, you must acknowledge Him as Saviour and Lord. As your Lord, you must obey Him in all things. And you must acknowledge Him in all ways as your Saviour. He can save you from sin and death. He can deliver you from the powers of darkness or demons. He can heal your sicknesses and diseases. He watches over you and all people; He knows all about you, and your thoughts; He is omniscient. As the Creator who made all things, He also sustains the vast universe. And He sustains and saves those who put their complete trust in Him. This begins with your repentance. When you are sorry for your sins, and truly regret your sinful way of life, and all the evil things you have said, thought or done, if you turn to Him sincerely asking for His forgiveness, He will forgive you. He will also help you by His Spirit in you to turn away from that old sinful lifestyle and be renewed in your spirit and your mind. He will save you from damnation: eternal damnation! BUT, if you won’t repent, He won’t save you. If You Refuse To Repent So, God is now warning all sinners that if you do not repent of your sins, you will face death for all eternity. He is calling you now to cease sinning. If you do not heed this warning, there will be no second chance. This is the LAST CALL TO REPENTANCE. It is God’s last appeal. If you repent of your sins, and cease sinning, God will forgive you. Jesus Christ paid the price of your sins. You should accept Him as your personal Saviour, and if you are repentant He will cover you by His grace so you need not pay the death penalty your sins deserve. But if you do not heed this call, you will die in your sins and go to a place of torment after death. Why? Because of God’s anger against sin. Eventually, at the end of time, your life (your spirit) will be exterminated in the fire of Gehenna, which is as fierce as the heat of the sun! For THE WRATH OF GOD is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness (Romans 1:18). If we sin wilfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgement, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries (Hebrews 10:26-27). For we know Him who said, VENGEANCE IS MINE, I will repay. And again, THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE! (Hebrews 10:30). It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (Hebrews 10:31). But If You Are Willing God is very merciful and forgiving to those who accept Jesus. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved (John 3:16-17). He who believes in Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil (John 3:18-19). For everyone practising evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God (John 3:20-21). There is a great contrast between those who accept, and those who reject. Accepters are accepted. Rejecters are rejected: He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him (John 3:36). What Happens To You After Death Jesus related this story, depicting the torment which will befall those who ignore this warning: There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. And being in torments in Hades [the unseen place], he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this flame.’ But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things, but now he is comforted and you are tormented. And besides all this, between us there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’ Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’ Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, [in other words, the Bible, where Moses and God’s prophets’ words are recorded] neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’ (Luke 16:19-31.) What God Wants Of You God commands you to repent and change: For God’s favour has appeared with its offer of salvation to all mankind, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works (Titus 2:11-14). The offer of eternal salvation is before you now. It’s down to you now to CHOOSE. If you reject this invitation to accept Jesus’ blood to cover your sins, you will be held guilty before God for His death, and there is no forgiveness for those who so blatantly insult God and Christ. You will have blasphemed the holy Spirit of God Almighty, your Creator, for which there is no forgiveness; and you will end up in hell. But if you humble yourself, and sincerely repent of your sinful way of life, accepting Jesus as your Saviour, He will accept you, forgive you and grant you His Spirit to dwell within you, to help you live righteously. This is the choice that is before you now. One Man Who Went To Hell and Back Bill Wiese, an American, had a terrifying experience one night. He was taken to hell and spent 23 minutes there. It scared him half to death! It was so fightening! He wrote up about that awful 23 minutes, and his account is to be found on the web at: www.spiritlessons.com/Documents/BillWiese_23MinutesInHell_Text.htm Bill’s wife witnessed the effect of that experience on her husband: “...I saw him there traumatized, literally traumatized holding his skull, holding his head between his hands and crying out and screaming...” Bill relates: “...I was lying on the floor in this cell and I had absolutely no strength in my body. I wondered, ‘Why can I hardly move, what is wrong with me?’ I was just aware of no strength, and I was helplessly lying there. One demon just grabbed me and picked me up, and threw me into the wall like a glass. He just picked me up like a glass. That was how light I was, or how strong he was, and threw me into the wall, and every bone in my body just broke. And I felt pain! I just began to lie on the floor there, crying out for mercy, but these creatures don't have any mercy at all, absolutely no mercy. “The one picked me up, and the other one, with his razor-sharp claws; he just shredded my flesh right off. He just tore it off, and had absolutely no care whatsoever for this body that God so wonderfully made. It had a hatred that was so intense against me. I wondered, "Why am I alive, why am I living through this? I don't understand why I am not dead." My flesh just hung there in ribbons. And there was no blood, just flesh hanging, because life is in the blood, and there is no life in Hell. And there is no water in Hell...” “...It is just a cruel, miserable, horrible place that you have to endure...!” Malcolm B Heap, February 2022
