276 Facing 107 Assassins

They band together against the righteous and condemn the innocent to death (Psalm 94:21, NIV).

There was a great need for funds to get the van from Tanzania, across Kenya to Uganda. Thanks to all the eight regular supporters £655 was forwarded. This was on top of the £997 two days earlier. These missions are not cheap! They were only achieved through much sacrifice!

23rd January 2021. 19:51. From John: We have had a very difficult time being followed by a team of attackers who were out to physically harm us. We haven't rested. I guess it’s why God said that we would need fuel of £777. We don't know how to get through to tomorrow midnight. Our fuel is almost over.

20:47. Reply: No, I don't know either. It's all in God's hands.

Comment: In the late evening, Rolf managed to send John £200.

24th Jan 2021. 8:50. From John: God protected us throughout the dark night with the attackers baying for our blood. Keep praying for us. Rolf sent us some money but we still need some more fuel to keep us moving up to midnight when God will meet these ferocious killers. [Bob also sent John £135.]

24th January 2021. 9:32. From John: God is working out big miracles. Our attackers number 107. We have counted them. What's the meaning of 107 biblically? Our fuel, water and milk are over we can't move. I believe God will wipe out these 107 armed with crude weapons like spears, arrows and clubs...

Reply: 107 is an indivisible number. I don't know if it carries any specific significance. However, Psalm 107 is very interesting. It is the story of life, in one sense. It is an overview of why God has put us in this wicked world, surrounded by enemies, so that we learn how faithful He is, how He cares for us, how He answers our 'cries' for help (they don't have to be audible, silent prayers are just as powerful when genuine from the heart).

Notice the flow in the Psalm; the theme: we implore God for His help and deliverance (v 6), and He answers and leads us out of trouble (vs 6, 7). He provides our needs (vs 6, 7, 9). We give Him heartfelt thanks (v 8).

The theme repeats itself again. We sin, rebel, get into trouble (v 10), Consequently, we suffer (v 12). In our sufferings we cry out to God for forgiveness and deliverance (v 13). God delivers (v 14). We praise Him with thanksgiving (v 15). And the theme repeats itself through the rest of the psalm.

Comment: Bob sent £150 so John could move on.

God Wipes Out The 107 Thugs

25th January 2021. 7:41. From John: God is great Will. Last night 107 people tried to carry the van away with us inside. Their intention was to burn us inside the van and completely destroy all the MM lits inside. God made the van very heavy so they couldn’t move it. Then at midnight thick white mists covered the van and a very bright light shone out from the van destroying the attackers eyesight. All complained that they couldn’t see. We then moved 250m away and immediately a firebolt descended on them burning them to ashes. We left immediately and entered into the no-man's-land between Uganda and S Sudan.

Comment: Besides a further £200 sent for fuel and basic needs, the angels asked for another £280, but we didn’t have it till the next day, when Bob sent £300. This was why it was needed; they had reached Juba, led by the angel mist, to rescue the believers who were being held imprisoned by jihadis with guns:
